About Us
About Heather Bury:
Heather Bury is the founder of Clearheart Bodywork and instructs the Certificate Program and the evening classes. She is a Certified Rebalancer from the Kootenay School of Rebalancing since 1992, and a former Dr. of Traditional Chinese Medicine (until the arrival of her baby).
Heather also brings knowledge from a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Reiki master, Trager Bodywork Level 1, Tui Na Chinese massage, Jin Shin Do acupressure and paraprofessional counseling training to her teaching and therapeutic bodywork practice. She has taught at three different schools: the Global College of Oriental Medicine in Nanaimo, B.C., Windsong School of Healing in Campbell River, B.C. and the Kootenay School of Rebalancing in Costa Rica.
Heather delights in teaching and encouraging students in their process of understanding and skill development.
This world of conscious touch spans our physical bodies, our heartfelt selves, our creative ideas and our energetic bodies. It is such a pleasure to deepen our experience on all these levels.
During sessions, it is a privilege to witness the precious essence of people. Acceptance and being present are simple yet exciting spaces to share.
About Robyn Irwin:
Robyn has been working professionally as a bodyworker for 6 years receiving credentials in Rebalancing and Clearheart Bodywork and most recently Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. She is currently enrolled in the Peri-natal Birth Attachment Professional Training and studying to become a doula. After teaching Yoga based movement for 6 years she has been integrating a more fluid approach highly inspired by her study and practice of Continuum movement with founder, Emilie Conrad. Other influential awareness practices include Soul Motion Dance, Dance Alive, Conscious Communication, Inner Nourishment meditations, and quality time spent in Nature.
Robyn continues to explore movement and human potential, bringing awareness of the embryological and cosmic forces influencing us, and accessing our innate wholeness through sound, movement, and felt sense awareness. She has a passion for life and loves sharing her work, always in new and insightful ways.
About Nelson, British Columbia, Canada:
Nelson is a vibrant mountain community situated beside the west arm of Kootenay Lake in southern British Columbia. With a population of 10,000, this small city supports an impressive arts and outdoors community, a local ski hill (Whitewater), Selkirk College, the Kootenay School of the Arts, a professional music program, the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences, numerous yoga and dance classes, an organic cooperative, many cafes and restaurants offering eclectic cuisine, and abundant opportunities for lakeshore and forest walking, alpine hiking, and skiing.
